In the spring of 1996, while headlining the piano bar at a multi-venue entertainment complex in San Jose, California called “San Jose Live“, word got out that Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida was accepting video auditions for a lively piano show that had yet to be opened, “Jellyrolls” on Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. Ray sent in his audition tape and was hired immediately and started what was to be an astounding 24 year gig.

Literally millions of tourists have come through the doors to be blown away by the nightly 2 piano show. Jellyrolls has become legendary in the piano bar world. Known for its energy, humor, enormous repertoire, and seemingly limitless musical talent gracing the stage, it has created countless magical memories for visitors from around the globe.

The Jellyrolls guest list has included A-listers like Steven Spielberg, Dick Clark, and Neil Patrick Harris, as well as dozens of celebrities such as Brad Gillis, Joey Fatone, Dennis Rodman, Jose Feliciano, the dead guy from Weekend at Bernie’s, and almost Bruno Mars had he brought his ID.

Only a global pandemic could stop it’s momentum, as Jellyrolls “temporarily” shut its doors in March of 2020. No word of its reopening as of this writing in January 2021. It was a FANTASTIC run.
